Most of what A Affordable Movers hauls never leaves the metro — a two-bedroom off Hawthorne, a rambler in Milwaukie, a rental in Hillsboro three blocks from the MAX line. Local moves make up the bulk of our schedule, and after thirteen years Russell Voss and the crew know which stairwells in the Pearl need a mattress turned sideways and which streets in Sellwood are too narrow for a 26-foot box truck.
Pricing runs on the clock: $109/hr for a 2-mover crew, up to $179/hr for four, with each additional mover adding $36/hr. A $125 deposit holds your date. Whatever the walkthrough turns up — a piano on the second floor, a shed full of boxes nobody mentioned — gets built into that number before the truck backs up the driveway. That’s the point of quoting it this way: the number doesn’t move once it’s written down.
Crew chiefs Tobias Kwan and Selena Marsh run the trucks; Denise Okafor keeps the schedule straight from the office on SE 82nd Ave. Eight trucks, twelve people, nobody subcontracted in from a labor board.

What You’ll Pay
Two ways to book it: $109/hr for a two-mover crew, or a flat rate by bedroom count starting at $1,850 for four-bedroom-plus homes if you’d rather lock in a total up front
Truck, blankets, and dollies are built into the rate, not billed as extras: $109 for two movers, $145 for three, $179 for four, each added mover after that at $36 an hour, or a flat $1,850 to $2,500 for four-bedroom-plus homes if you’d rather skip the clock — a $125 deposit applies either way. Basic released-value coverage rides free on every job, and whatever the walkthrough turns up gets folded into that number the same day — it’s the number on your invoice, not a starting point for add-ons.
